Scripture tells us that the community of faith is the body of Christ in our world. Each week we conclude our worship with a dismissal, where we are sent out to be Christ's hands and feet to our neighbors near and far. 

We strive to be a community that lives out our faith by sharing our time, talents, and resources with people in need both inside and outside the church.

The Gathering

Each month a group of 10-20 volunteers gather to make 300 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to be distributed the following weekend by The Gathering of Southeastern Wisconsin as a part of their weekend meal program. 

Common Ground

We are currently building a Common Ground Core Team to guide us in  working on “Issue Campaigns” with the member institutions of Common Ground.

Common Ground is a non-partisan group of ordinary citizens of Southeast Wisconsin, dedicated to identifying problems facing our community and implementing creative solutions. We believe that people working together have the power to improve our community and our world. We challenge ourselves to imagine positive changes. We set bold goals, we create realistic strategies, and we are willing to face powerful interests. We mobilize thousands of people so that our voices can be heard. We get results.

Milwaukee Rescue Mission

Quarterly a group of volunteers from St. Thomas assist with the dinner program at Milwaukee Rescue Mission.

​Canterbury Crafters
Some members of our parish knit and crochet lap robes for hospice patients and those who are ill. They also make hats and scarves for ministries in our area that reach out to people who are homeless. Even if you have no experience, they are willing to teach any new volunteers how to knit or crochet!
